Pastor Thieme is a graduate of the University of Arizona (Phi Beta Kappa) and Dallas Theological Seminary (summa cum laude). His seminary studies were interrupted by World War II military service during which he rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel as a staff officer in the United States Army Air Corps. After completion of his graduate work in 1950, he became pastor of Berachah Church in Houston, Texas. His extensive training in Greek, Hebrew, theology, history, and textual criticism provided the foundation for his demanding professional life of studying and teaching the Word of God. Pastor Thieme retired from the pulpit of Berachah Church after fifty-three years of faithful service. Pastor Thieme has not taken lightly the Lord’s command, “Feed my sheep.” He has recorded more than eleven thousand hours of lectures covering much of the Bible verse-by-verse. He has written more than a hundred books and pamphlets on various subjects including salvation, spirituality, the Christian way of life, the essence of God, biblical history, Satan and the angelic conflict, and prophecy. Many of his books have been translated into foreign languages including Spanish, Portuguese, German, Hungarian, Romanian, Korean, Chinese, Thai, and Russian. Pastor Thieme has made all his recordings and publications available without charge or obligation so that anyone anywhere may have the opportunity to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” All of his material may be requested from R. B. Thieme, Jr., Bible Ministries. |
